Doctors indicted for running a “pill mill”
Federal prosecutors in Charleston have indicted twelve people for operating a pill mill. The owner, managers, and physicians at the HOPE Clinic are accused of conspiring to distribute oxycodone and other controlled substances outside of their intended medical purposes between 2010 and 2015. The 69 count indictment includes ten doctors in clinics from Beckley to Beaver, and Charleston to Wytheville.
