Eight men charged in attempted jail break

Eight men are facing charges in connection to an attempted jail break at the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County. An informant told police the men were attempting to make a hole in their cell, so they could get out under the floor. The escape was planned for Thanksgiving Day. All eight are charged with felony conspiracy and attempted escape.
