Elkview Man Faces Attempted Robbery Charges

A man is facing charges after trying to break in to the cashier kiosk at the Kroger gas station on Lee Street West. 23-year old Christian Lockhart of Elkview made three attempts to break in, according to the criminal complaint, and police saw him on surveillance video hitting the window with blunt objects. He could only shatter the first layer of glass because it’s bulletproof. Lockhart was arrested a few blocks away, and faces breaking and entering charges.
