Endangered Species Law

West Virginia is one of 18 states filing a lawsuit that challenges federal rules on endangered and threatened species. State Attorney General Patrick Morrisey says new rules block economic development by effectively subjecting any area unoccupied by an endangered species to more strict rules if it may potentially host future endangered species. Morrisey calls the regulations an overreach of the federal government’s authority. The lawsuit was filed yesterday in Alabama.
