False Alarms

Putnum County is cracking down on false alarms. A new county ordinance will go into effect on February 1st that will begin to fine home owners if their alarm system sends off a false alarm. Over the last year, more than 700 false fire alarms have been reported in Putnum County. In most cases, the false alarms are coming from systems that have not been properly maintained.
