False Robbery Report Sends Woman to Jail

A Charleston woman is in trouble for accusing a man of robbing her. Police say 27-year old Whitney Lynn Roberts gave cash to a man to buy drugs, and then called 911 and faked a robbery and said the man took $175 from her at knife point. She’s charged with falsely reporting an emergency and obstructing, according to a complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court. She’s at South Central Regional Jail.
