Fayette County Schools

Local control is being given back to Fayette County Schools. The We\st Virginia Board of Education yesterday approved the move, which will give the county control of everything except for finances related to facilities. The vote took place after seven years of state intervention. The school system had come under scrutiny in 2010 for a number of issues and was taken over by the state.
