Federal Funds to Help Youth Needing Treatment
Federal funds totaling $250,000 are headed to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources to improve services to young people in need. The funding announced Monday by Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito are intended to support mental health and substance abuse treatment programs treating West Virginia adolescents, bringing together professionals serving young people to develop a comprehensive, strategic plan to strengthen existing services, and to broaden access to them.
