Fire destroys historic hotel

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a four alarm fire that destroyed a historic hotel in Webster County. The fire broke out just after midnight Friday at the Oakland Hotel on Main Street. The historic building had been abandoned for years. No injuries were reported. There’s still no word on what caused the fire.
