Firefighter admits to mail fraud
A Raleigh County firefighter has admitted to mail fraud in exchange for a lighter sentence. Michael Cowger pleaded guilty to charges that he submitted double expense reports and pocketed more than 20-thousand dollars from the City of Beckley, West Virginia University and the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department. Cowger has repay the money, and could still see 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in mid-September.
