Firefighters getting funding
West Virginia firefighters are getting more than one-million-dollars for fire safety. The grant from FEMA was announced late last week and will be split among Bruceton Mills, Lewisburg, Morgantown, Princeton, Weston and Winfield. Local fire departments will use the federal funding towards buying equipment and recruiting personnel. The grant program helps fire departments enhance their ability to protect both the public and first responders from fire and related hazards.
