Fix Leaky Dome

The state of West Virginia will start accepting bids next month from construction companies hoping to fix the leaky dome at the capitol building. Engineers earlier this spring found that water leaks were damaging the outer and inner domes, causing some columns to crack. If repairs aren’t made, officials said the interior dome could eventually collapse. The state says it’ll give contractors a two-year deadline on the repairs once the winning bid is awarded.
