Former Logan County Superintendent Faces Indictment
A former Logan County school superintendent was indicted after she was accused of defrauding the Board of Education out of thousands of dollars by ordering items for her personal use, her son’s wedding and for other family members. WCHS TV reports Phyllis Doty is indicted on two counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds and one count of mail fraud. According to the indictment, Doty knowingly devised and intended to devise a scheme to defraud and obtain money and property from the Logan County Board of Education while she was curriculum director and then superintendent.
