Former Mason County Deputy pleads guilty to stealing firearm
A former Mason County deputy has pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm. Forty-two-year-old Terry Powell admitted to stealing a World War II era pistol during an investigation in 2015 at a home in Ashton. Powell sold the gun for 25-hundred dollars to a man who later pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and money laundering. Powell faces up to ten years in federal prison.
