Fugitive Captured in Dunbar

A fugitive from North Carolina who has been on the run for more than four years after being mistakenly released from custody has been captured in Dunbar. U.S. marshals said they arrested 32-year old Terrance Douglas Poindexter of Winston Salem on Monday. He was mistakenly released due to an administrative error in 2014 and had been facing drug charges. Poindexter was arrested at a home on 16th Street after police had been doing surveillance in the area. Poindexter was taken to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office and arraigned in magistrate court for being a fugitive from justice.
