Girl Arrested in Huntington for the Death of her Mother in Florida

A girl who was wanted for killing her mother has been arrested in Cabell County. 20-year old Kayla Colyer is facing charges in the death of her mother, Tricia Freeman of Florida, who had been missing since last Monday. Coyler and her boyfriend, 26-year old Roy Nichols were seen at the GoMart on 29th Street in Huntington Saturday and arrested by Cabell County deputies. Ashland police interviewed the two, and WCHS TV reports Colyer admitted to killing her mother in Florida and dumping the body before heading north. They’ll be extradicted to Florida to face charges.
