Glassworkers

The 29 glassworkers who were locked out in July are seeking 200-thousand-dollars in lost wages. The United Steel Workers Union wants Europtec USA to compensate the workers because they were not provided the proper advance warning of the pending lockout. The two sides have been in contentious labor talks since last October. Another round of contract talks is planned for October 5th.
