Golden Trout to be Stocked This Spring
Anglers in West Virginia will be pulling more golden trout from the state’s lakes and streams this spring. The Gazette-Mail reports that in early April, state natural resources officials will change the color of the trout they stock in Mountain State waters. Instead of drab-colored brook, brown and rainbow trout, they’ll be golden rainbow trout. Workers with the Division of Natural Resources will stock about 25,000 golden trout from April 2-6, at 30 waters throughout the state.
