Gov. Tomblin’s Veto Has Support From Carper
Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper is happy about a veto. Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin nixed a bill that would have prohibited county park commissions from banning firearms. Carper says the governor once again did what needed to be done to protect people and parks. Senate Bill 254 would have prohibited county park commissions’ ability to protect people by keeping guns out. There’s a sign up at Coonskin park right now that says no weapons are allowed.
