Governor Appoints New Administration Secretary

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has named Mary Jane Pickens as the state’s new acting secretary of administration. Tomblin announced the appointment Wednesday to replace former acting secretary Jason Pizatella, who resigned to run for state auditor. Pickens previously served as deputy secretary for the Department of Administration. She also served as the Board of Risk and Insurance Management executive director, and will continue in that role. Her appointment is effective immediately.
