Graduation Levels
Graduation rates from high schools in West Virginia are at record levels. The state’s superintendent of public instruction said yesterday nearly 90-percent of seniors from 2016 graduated, the best figure ever released in West Virginia. Dr. Michael Martirano made the announcement at Kanawha County’s Washington High School and said he’s hopeful the next class will bring the numbers over 90-percent. The 2015 graduation rate was at a little under 87-percent.
