Greenbrier River Trail Reopens
An eleven-mile section of the Greenbrier River Trail is reopening, one year after a major landslide during the June 2016 floods. The Greenbrier River Trail is a former railroad that is now used by hikers, bikers and horseback riders in the eastern part of the state. The slide made it unusable but federal funding was used for repairs since the damage was caused by natural forces. The state park system says the trail is back open and is thanking businesses, employees and volunteers for the help.
