Health Care Act

If the Republican-backed American Health Care Act passes, Senator Joe Manchin says it will be a “disaster” to West Virginia and any state battling an opioid crisis. The senator says the bill would be detrimental to drug treatment. Under the Affordable Care Act, West Virginia received more than 120-million-dollars to provide substance abuse treatment through Medicaid. That would directly affect more than 50-thousand addicts in the Mountain State.
