Health risks involved in clean up

Cleanup and repairs continue through Greenbrier County. One thing though to remember, and it’s an important thing, is officials are warning people of the possible health risks involved with demolishing homes. The county’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management office is asking all residents to hold off on demolishing their home or business until further notice because certain requirements and procedures need to be in place before demolition can begin. The request is also aimed at protecting residents from the threat of asbestos.
