Hearings Coming up on WV American Water Rate Case
West Virginia American Water wants to raise rates, and you’ll have the chance to weigh in with an opinion. The Public Service Commission has scheduled nine public comment hearings in the pending case. After hearings in Lewis County and at Marshall University starting next week, the Fayette County Courthouse will host two years on October 7th, at 1pm and 6pm. There’s also a hearing October 26th at 6pm in the Public Service Commission office at 201 Brooks Street in Charleston. WVAWC has requested a $35.47 million, or 28 percent increase for its water customers, and a 22 percent annual increase for its sewer customers.
