Heroin Overdoses Increase

Through the first half of 2015, Kanawha County has equaled the number of heroin-related overdose deaths that occurred in the county last year and is on pace to record the county’s most overdose deaths in a single year. There have been 62 overdose deaths in Kanawha County so far this year, 22 of which are heroin-related. At the current rate, Kanawha County could see a record number of overdose deaths.
