Horse Races

Thirty fewer horse-racing dates are on the schedule for Mountaineer Racetrack. The state Racing Commission has given the okay to have fewer races scheduled this year because of increased gaming competition from out of state. The request to cut back from five days a week to four came from the Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association.
