House Speaker Tim Armstead to Run for Supreme Court

West Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Tim Armstead has resigned from the House to run for the state Supreme Court. Armstead said on Twitter that the Secretary of State’s Office said it’s not required that he resign in order to run for the court, he wants to be sure there’s no question. Armstead said previously that he would run for the Supreme Court in 2020, but told MetroNews Tuesday that circumstances changed his mind.
