Huntington VA Med Center May Be Renamed to Honor Woody Williams
Fresh off doing the coin toss at the Super Bowl, West Virginia Medal of Honor winner Woody Williams might receive another honor. The U.S. House of Representatives will take up legislation introduced by Rep. Evan Jenkins, to rename the Huntington VA Medical Center in his honor. Williams is a West Virginia native and lives in Ona in Cabell County. He is the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the Battle of Iwo Jima.
