I-64 bridge renamed in honor of fallen officer

A bridge on I-64 is being renamed in honor of a Putnam County deputy killed in the line of duty. The Cow Creek Bridge will now be called the “Deputy Sheriff John Janey Memorial Bridge.” Janey was killed in 1989 during a stakeout on Cow Creek Road.
