Impeachment Proceedings Continue

The House Judiciary Committee met Thursday to continue impeachment proceedings for West Virginia Supreme Court justices. Committee members have been gathering evidence and identifying witnesses. Lawmakers voted to have the committee investigate possible wrongdoing or violations over spending habits of the Supreme Court and the use of state vehicles. Justice Allen Loughry is at the center of the impeachment investigation, but all justices are being reviewed and numerous records are being combed over to see if evidence warrants any of the justices being removed from office. Justice Loughry is suspended without pay while the indictments play out.
