Inmates removed from Boyd County Detention Center

Sixty inmates are being removed from the Boyd County Detention Center to relieve overcrowding. Jailer William Hensley took over the jail this week when former Jailer Joe Burchett resigned following the death of two inmates. The jail has been plagued with problems for more than a year, including fights with guards, several escapes, and multiple overdoses.
