Justice Plans Tourist Attractions
Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jim Justice wants to make West Virginia a tourism mecca with plans to lure major horse racing and golf events to the state and establish theme parks and a gun shooting range. With the help of private investment, Justice envisions creating 16,000 new tourism-related jobs over the next four years if he’s elected. Ground has already been broken on an 18-hole golf course near The Greenbrier resort that Justice owns. He envisions establishing a horse race in the Eastern Panhandle and maybe an indoor water park in the Northern Panhandle and a country-themed park and separate shooting range in southern West Virginia.
