Kanawha County seeking help for Hepatitis A outbreak
Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper is asking state health officials for assistance with what he calls a “serious” Hepatitis A outbreak. He wants state health officials to come up with a plan to educate people about the epidemic and what precautions they need to take. More than seventy cases of acute Hepatitis A have been diagnosed in Putnam and Kanawha counties.
