Ken Hechler

Former West Virginia Secretary of State and Congressman Ken Hechler is being remembered. Hechler came from New York but was also a teacher at Marshall University in Huntington. He also worked for the Truman administration and marched in Alabama with Martin Luther King, Jr., in the 1960s. He lived in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle and passed at home over the weekend at the age of 102.
