Kroger Location to Close

Kroger operates 36 stores in West Virginia, and has announced plans to close one of them. The Smithers store opened in 1993, and will close later this year. The location has struggled with sales for the past few years, and the company said the low financial returns are the reason for the closure. The company plans to help those employees finds jobs at other Kroger locations. The closing date for the Smithers store will be in October.
