Legislature approves teacher pay raise

The West Virginia House has joined the Senate in approving a new version of a bill that would give teachers, school service personnel, and State Police a raise. The Legislature’s approval means the bill is headed to the Governor’s desk. The amended bill gives teachers a two-percent raise in the first year and a one-percent raise the following two years.
