Magic Island to Get a Splash Pad

Plans for a splash pad at Magic Island were approved at Tuesday night’s Charleston City Council meeting. The city will work with Vortex/Southern Playgrounds to complete the project by the end of the year. The project will cost nearly $370,000, but the city received a grant from the National Parks and Recreation Association to cover about $150,000 of that.
