Making changes to the Medical Cannabis Act

The State’s Medical Cannabis Advisory Board wants to make sure the state is ready when the Medical Cannabis Act goes into effect in 2019. When lawmaker meet next month, House Delegate Riley Moore will introduce a modification to the current law. Moore says in order to make the medical cannabis industry viable, businesses need to be able to grow, process, and dispense marijuana. Current legislation does not allow one business to do all three.
