Man attempts to rob woman in mall parking lot

Twenty-five-year-old Steven Knipple is in custody for attempting to rob a woman in the Elder Beerman parking lot in Kanawha City. The woman told police Knipple grabbed her and tried to pull her out of the car, and then demanded money. He ran off when she sounded the car horn. The victim wasn’t hurt, and police arrested Knipple a short time later at the mall.
