Man hits Sheriff cruiser

Authorities in Greenbrier County say a man allegedly struck a sheriff’s cruiser at a traffic stop. Sheriff Jan Cahill tells The Register-Herald that Jason Edward Williams is accused of hitting the passenger side of Cpl. Travis Webber’s cruiser on Saturday. Cahill says Williams was trying to flee the scene after being pulled over. According to Southern Regional Jail records, Williams was charged with third offense driving under the influence and third offense driving on a revoked license.
