Manchin on Shutdown

Senator Manchin says a government shutdown puts people in agony and is just plain un-American. Manchin appeared yesterday on CBS’ “Face the Nation” and said he’s opposed to any shutdown, an idea mentioned by the Trump administration for later this year. The government is currently funded through a continuing resolution which runs out in September. The Democrat says past shutdowns did not end well and weren’t good for anyone.
