Many Call for PEIA to be Funded, Not Frozen
The first of three public hearings by the PEIA finance board wrapped up last night, and many who spoke pushed for the current insurance plan not to be frozen as Governor Jim Justice proposed but instead, to be fully funded. WCHS TV reports some called the proposed reduced premiums for families with dual state incomes unfair, and others gave examples simple health needs being unaffordable. The PEIA finance board will consider action on this proposal on February 20th.
