Mass Drug Bust Leads to 100 Arrests
Police say 100 people face drug-related charges stemming from an investigation in Fayette and Nicholas counties. The Central West Virginia Drug Task Force says suspects face a total of more than 300 drug-related counts stemming from the Operation “Mountain Justice” investigation. Charges include distribution of controlled substances and conspiracy. The task force says in a news release that investigators made controlled purchases of heroin, methamphetamine, prescription pills and other drugs. More than 120 officers from the task force, West Virginia State Police, local police departments and federal agencies weree part of Thursday’s mass arrest.
