Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin says the West Virginia National Guard will locate some operations to a development being formed out of a reclaimed coal mine in southern West Virginia. The governor says the National Guard will expand training of existing units on property adjacent to the former Hobet surface mine. It also will expand programs for vehicle and tire maintenance.
