Mingo County Lawmaker Resigns
A Mingo County lawmaker says he’s stepping down to devote more time to economic development in southern West Virginia. The Gazette-Mail reports Democrat Harry Keith White resigned this week. White served as House majority leader from 2013 to 2015, surrendering the role after the Republican party took control of the House of Delegates. White was appointed to the House in 1992 and was elected to the chamber later that year. The Gilbert resident is chairman of the Bank of Mingo. The legislative session starts Jan. 13.
