More WV counties economically distressed

The Appalachian Regional Commission says three more West Virginia counties are now considered economically distressed. Fayette, Summers and Wetzel counties have been moved from at-risk to distressed counties. Twelve other counties are in that category. The ARC uses three economic indicators in making it’s classifications; three-year average unemployment rate, per capita market income, and poverty rate.
