Morrisey cracking down on scheme
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is cracking down on a Ponzi scheme that bilked investors of millions. Morrisey says Donna Brown of Clarington, Ohio, operated Budget Finance Company of New Martinsville. She’s accused of running the unlicensed investment company that lured potential investors out of as much as 25-million dollars. Brown faces a prison sentence of decades and heavy fines.
