Name released of man hit by a train

Putnam County officials have released the name of the man who was hit and killed by a train Sunday night in Scott Depot. Twenty-three-year-old Tyler Smith was walking on the tracks listening to music with earbuds. The conductor blew the horn several times, but he didn’t hear the train approaching from behind.
