Neighbors concerned about safety in the East End

Over 100 East End residents met with Charleston police last night at the Roosevelt Community Center to discuss safety in their neighborhood. Neighbors are concerned about break-ins, drugs, even a machete wielding thief. Chief of Police Steve Cooper says the best way to start cutting down on crime will be the addition of ten new officers early next year.
